The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) is the premier professional organization representing Florida's Certified Public Accountants. John H. Stroemer, CPA, CFST, CAM
State Legislative Policy Committee - discusses revisions to Florida Accountancy Laws and Rules; develops proposed legislative policies; coordinates with FICPA committees on potential legislative issues; and reviews pending legislation affecting the CPA profession.
Christopher Conti, CPA
Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards - which studies, reviews and comments on exposure drafts and research bulletins by various professional standard-setting bodies of the AICPA.
Keith M. Wheeler
Not-for-Profit Conference Committee - which plans and presents the FICPA Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference, as well as studies, reviews and comments on accounting, auditing and reporting for not-for-profit organizations.
Marc S. Whitfield, CPA, CFST, MAcc
Federal Taxation Committee - which requires him to attend annual liaison meetings with IRS officials and plans the agenda and presentations, as well as plans and represents a federal taxation track at the annual FICPA Academy.
Malena Martinelli, MSAT, CPA
Women in Leadership Committee- develops, promotes, and recognizes women in accounting through professional development and mentoring. Creates an event for women to engage in leadership development, promote and administer the AICPA FICPA Women to Watch Awards, work with chapter leadership to promote women's initiatives and events within chapters.
