Stroemer & Company Showing a Strong Presence on FICPA Committees

Audit Manager, Keith Wheeler has been appointed to the Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference Committee, which plans and presents the FICPA Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference, as well as studies, reviews and comments on accounting, auditing and reporting for not-for-profit organizations.  In addition to planning the conference, Keith has been a presenter on his in depth knowledge of not-for-profit organizations.

Christopher Conti has been appointed to the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee, which studies, reviews and comments on exposure drafts and research bulletins by various professional standard-setting bodies.  As the newest member of the Stroemer Team, Christopher has quickly proven to be a very valuable asset to the team.

Tax Manager Marc Whitfield, CPA, CFST, MBA has been appointed to 2 committees. Mr. Whitfield will serve on the Federal Taxation Committee, which requires him to attend annual liaison meetings with IRS officials and plans agenda and presentations, as well as plans and represents a federal taxation track at the annual FICPA Academy.  He will also help prepare articles for Florida CPA Today magazine and the FICPA website, and help prepare the Legislator’s Tax Guide and monitors federal tax activity.  Marc is also appointed to the State Tax Committee, which plans and presents the FICPA State Tax portion of the Mega CPE Conference and provides state taxation professionals with opportunities for knowledge sharing, professional development and advocacy on Florida-specific tax issues.  

Serving on an FICPA Committee is a great way for accounting professionals to network with their peers from around the entire State, while enabling them to play an influential role in shaping the future of their profession.
